Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for primary care clinicians, women’s health clinicians, orthopedic specialists, endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and any other healthcare professionals that are routinely involved in bone health for postmenopausal women.

The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to recognize and manage postmenopausal osteoporosis.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:

  • Have greater knowledge related to
    • Common screening and management recommendations for postmenopausal osteoporosis
    • Secondary prevention strategies, including post-fracture osteoporosis management, to improve care
  • Have greater competence related to
    • Identifying clinical practice gaps and common errors with postmenopausal osteoporosis care
